Groundhog's Day, Day 2

First, a brief story/comment on my life: I love Groundhog's Day.  I feel it is the most overlooked and under-appreciated holiday.  The first thing I do when I wake up every February 2 is check up on Phil and if he saw his shadow.

For my second day I was unsure of what I wanted to capture.  At some point during the day I decided I wanted to take a picture of a dancing sock monkey we have.  (Complete side note: this thing is an instant smile for Elise).  When Elise and I got home she mentioned it should be obvious what my picture was today - my own shadow.  I didn't get it at first, but then I realized that it was perfect.  I decided to merge the two and take a picture of sock monkey checking out his shadow.

Unlike his cousin in Punxsutawney, sock monkey prefers to have a lazier day and check for his shadow towards the end of the day.  Near our apartment I found some nice bushes I put sock monkey in and snapped his picture.  I did play around with iso a bit, but this photo is less about a cool feature and more about a fun idea.

Like Phil, sock monkey saw his shadow and it seems we are in for 6 more weeks of winter.
