Kilauea Lighthouse and Anini Beach

After 2 busy days over the weekend snorkeling and seeing the beaches, our Monday in Hawaii was more laid back.  Elise and I like to check out lighthouses (cuz they're neat) and we had found that there was one near Princeville.  We drove to check it out but got there too early to take the tour so we got some pictures from afar.  King Kamehameha united the Hawaiian islands in the early 19th century and formed the Kingdom of Hawaii.  Now he has little signs all over the state in his honor.  The lighthouse was one of Kauai's King Kamehameha scenic/tourist spot.  It was decided that I should take pictures with all of them; I think I managed three, all below, although we saw more.

Enjoying the scenic outlook.
Out on the point.  I should note here that the lighthouse has been
technologically superseded.
My new pal.

Nearby the lighthouse is the Kong Lung Store.  They had some nice boutiques with a very local feel.  King Kamehameha was also there.
Photo Op!
My friend at the shops.
We also toured a local beach.  There were many vacation homes along Anini Beach.  It was a tranquil and beautiful stretch of land.
My new thinking spot.
A look back at the lighthouse on the point.
Keeping up the friendship.
